Krizyhpa Hla Thiehpa Bu (Mara Christian Hymn Book) is a hymn book app for all Mara Christians. The original hymn book was published by the Mara Evangelical Church, Headquarters, Lialaipi/Sabawngpi. This app was contributed by the Mara Evangelical Church, Para Local Church, and is developed and maintained independently by Laitei. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

Purpose of this app

This app is not intended to compete with or reduce sales of the original printed hymn book. It exists to fill a real gap: many Mara people around the world don't have easy access to a physical copy. All content inside the app remains the property of the original publishers.

Do we collect your personal information?

No. The app does not require an account, and does not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, camera, or microphone data.

What is stored, and where

The app saves a few small preferences directly on your own phone, using standard Android app storage. This never leaves your device and we never see it.

Uninstalling the app deletes all of this immediately, since it was only ever on your phone.

What the app connects to the internet for

• Church calendar: loads public event/holiday listings from the Mara Evangelical Church calendar service, over a secure (HTTPS) connection. This is a read-only request — it doesn't send any information about you.
• Rate the app: opens the app's Google Play page, only if you tap "Rate".
• Share the app: opens Android's normal share menu, only if you tap "Share".
• Links in the app: the About and Foreword pages link to the developer's Bluesky, GitHub, and YouTube pages. These open in your browser or those apps if you tap them.

Ads and analytics

None. There are no ads, no ad networks, and no analytics or tracking SDKs in this app.

Sharing your data

We don't sell or share any data with anyone, because we don't collect anything that could be shared.

Children

The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, so this includes children too.

Security

The one thing this app talks to over the internet (the calendar service) is reached over HTTPS, so that connection is encrypted.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, we'll update this same page with a new date at the top.
